Cuff & Buttons

New York's Premiere Cocktail Catering Service

What Cuff & Buttons provides:

Cuff & Buttons is a cocktail catering service providing consummate bar service by bringing the same standards of drink service from behind the bar of Milk & Honey to any event. The Cuff & Buttons experience is the synergy of three facets: The Cocktails, The Professionals, and The Service.

The Cocktails are what set Cuff & Buttons apart from all other catering services. The hand-crafted cocktails are made of freshly squeezed juices (squeezed the day of the event, never using prefabricated mixes, or artificial ingredients), carefully selected spirits, and the attention to the balance and harmony (strong, sweet, sour, and bitter) that every cocktail should have. Cuff & Buttons is proud to bring 200 years of cocktail tradition to every event.

Cuff & Buttons is outfitted with an extraordinary team of Professionals. The bartenders are classically trained in the craft of the cocktail with an expert knowledge of spirits and service. Driven by a true passion for the culture of the cocktail, our staff takes personal satisfaction in helping to make every event an affair to remember.

The Service that Cuff & Buttons delivers to each event is an authentic expression of integrity, style, and celebration.

Who is Cuff & Buttons

Cuff & Buttons is a partnership between three bartenders from New York City's cocktail vanguard. It brings together the talents of Sasha Petraske, Christy Pope, and Chad Solomon.

In 2000 Sasha Petraske made his mark by opening the now legendary Milk & Honey in Manhattan's lower east side. He helped to revive the lost art of classic 19th century style mixology. Since then, Sasha has opened Little Branch in the west village, further solidifying his place amongst the cocktail millieu. Milk & Honey and Little Branch are recognized internationally for being on the cutting edge of the cocktail industry. Sasha has been written about in major publications around the world for his contributions to cocktail culture. New York Magazine named him one of the most influential New Yorkers of 2006.

Christy Pope and Chad Solomon are accomplished bartenders who honed their craft while working at Milk & Honey, and between the two of them, have worked in New York's most respected cocktail establishments including Little Branch, The Pegu Club, and the Flatiron Lounge. With a passion for the artistry and the history of the trade, both have studied with such cocktail luminaries as Dale DeGroff, Audrey Saunders, Gary Regan, David Wondrich, and Paul Pacult. As a team Chad and Christy are co-producing a documentary on the history of the cocktail, and have given seminars at the New Orleans annual "Tales of the Cocktail" conference. In the November 2006 Cheers magazine they were named as two of the most important "evolving bar stars" in the country. Chad and Christy have also contributed or been featured in various publications such as Food and Wine Magazine, LA Times, New York Times,The Robb Report, and Mr. Boston 2006 Professional edition bartender's guide.
